Gluten Free Granola

Homemade Gluten Free Granola

Ingredients:

2 cups of Strathallans gluten free porridge oats

1/2 cup chopped nuts

1/4 cup raw mixed seeds (Sunflower & Pumpkin)

1/2 cup dried mixed fruit (chopped apricots, cranberries & sultanas

2-3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons sunflower oil

1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

pinch of salt

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 150C/300F/gas mark 2​.

  2. Line a large baking tray with greaseproof / baking paper.

  3. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl.

  4. Spread the mixture as a thin layer in the lined baking tray.

  5. Bake for 10 mins in the oven until your mixture is lightly toasted.

  6. Cool before serving.

  7. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Serve with milk or natural yoghurt.

This is an easy recipe that can be kept interesting by just changing the variety of nuts, seeds or dried fruit you use.  You can also swap honey for maple syrup.
